"Thank You Lord" is filled
with Moen's trademark style of simple, intimate
worship songs.
Moen wrote or co-wrote 6 of the 15 songs on Thank
You Lord, including the title cut, which he penned
after asking the Lord for a "simple song
of thanks" that people could sing to express
the gratitude in their hearts. Other songs on
the album include "Arise" (co-written
with Paul Baloche), the English/Spanish "Mi
Corazone" (co-written with producer David
Hamilton) and "Jesus, You Are My Healer,"
which Moen wrote for a friend who was diagnosed
with cancer. That friend was able to attend the
album recording and continues to improve in spite
of his diagnosis.
The album was recorded live at CBN/Regent University
Theatre in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and is Moen's
18th album for Integrity.
